Hey lady, got a play? Send it to Ruby Slippers

Ruby Slippers

Restoration playwright Aphra Behn didn’t mess around and neither should you

Are you a female playwright? Want to get a public reading of your script?

Then you should know that Ruby Slippers Theatre, in conjunction with the Vancouver Fringe Festival and Equity in Theatre have got a little somethin’ goin’ on.

It’s called “Advance Theatre: New Works by Women” and it’s an effort to address the underrepresentation of women’s experience on our stages.

Five new plays by Canadian women will be read over a five-day period during the 2015 Vancouver Fringe Festival.

And, if you’re one of the lucky playwrights, the program will pay for your tech rehearsal, promo, and all that jazz.

Please send your full script submissions to info@rubyslippers.ca by February 15, 2015. One submission per person please. Successful candidates will be notified by May 15, 2015.
